Match Report

CBHS 10 - Farfield 10

A couple noteables, Mike Macaluso played very, very well in his first game back from injury, but like so many other club members was reminded of just how much match fitness matters if you want to play a full rugby game. Jesse Silva, also a first game back, did some good, and a little bad, but then caught a stinger on the shoulder. Dominic Campos, Jeremy Crittendon and Garret Thomas all played their first matches and showed several moments of brilliance. Gilbert and Daniel again in the forwards, Joe Perez, Justin Walters and Joe Malm in the backs as well all played very good at times. Joe Perez, however had the game winning try called back when he touched down 5 meters too early!

Man of the Match once again goes to Nathan Bollinger, if only for the shear determination to play after being so sick earlier in the week. But he also lead the fight all around the field. He is a tireless worker who makes great decisions around the ball. Mike Macaluso and Joe Malm are also starting to make really good decisions. Give us a little more time, CB is going to become one awesome rugby club!
